VistOrka 
A holding company set up to bring together all the key Icelandic stakeholders that are engaged in using local energy sources to drive the transport as well as other sectors of society, VistOrka’s primary function lies in its role to connect all needed partners in a hydrogen systems and energy chains. Vistorka holds a share of around 51% in INE. VistOrka brings together investment funds, academic and research institutions, private enterprises, Iceland’s largest energy companies, and the country’s Government, all working together towards the goal of creating the world’s first hydrogen society. Daimler
Daimler is one of the world’s leading automotive companies. Its passenger car brands include Maybach, Mercedes-Benz, Citaro and Smart. It has manufacturing facilities in 37 countries and sells its products in more than 200 countries. Further on it offers financial and other automotive services through DaimlerChrysler Services. With 384,700 employees, DaimlerChrysler achieved revenues of ¤142.1 million EURO in 2004. DaimlerChrysler has been pioneering fuel cell technology development decisively since 1994, when it demonstrated with NECAR 1 the feasibility of this technology for automotive application. Numerous concept vehicles presented by DaimlerChrysler have shown the progresses of this technology and marked milestones for this environmentally friendly drive system.

StatoilHydro and hydrogen technologies
Norsk Hydro was the original shareholder in Icelandic New Energy but has undergone many transitions since 1999. Hydro Elecrolysers can be studies throught their website. In 2007 Hydro joined Statoil only to create a more resourcefuel energy giant. A supplier of North Sea oil , gas and hydrogpower energy, aluminium and plant nutrition Statoil Hydro provides technology for using renewable energy sources and electrolysis. Based in Norway the company conducts its operations in some 60 countries on all continents. All operations are based on sustainable conduct, including the development of products and services. Hydro is committed to the development and positioning of hydrogen as a fuel for future energy markets as well as developing, manufacturing and marketing hydrogen production systems through the leading edge company Norsk Hydro electrolysers.

Shell Hydrogen
"Shell Hydrogen" collectively refers to the companies of the Royal Dutch/Shell Group of Companies that are engaged in the pursuit and development globally of businesses related to hydrogen and fuel cells. Each of the companies which make up the Royal Dutch/Shell Group of Companies is an independent entity and has its own separate identity. The principal offices of Shell Hydrogen are located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, with regional bases in Houston and Tokyo. Shell Hydrogen has been developing hydrogen and fuel cell businesses since 1999.
