H2 vehicles – perfect recreational vehicles?

Earlier this month (July 2010) the general manager of Icelandic New Energy used a 4x4 Ford Explorer on a fishing trip at Elliðár in Reykjavík. It demonstrates the capabilities of hydrogen as the potential recreational vehicle for the future. With the ongoing advances in the hydrogen technology it is expected that size, power and range of the future hydrogen vehicle will be such that replacing even the future SUV´s will not be a problem.

“It was extremely joyful and a wonderful experience to go fishing on a zero emission vehicle. I´m certain it was the first time a H2 vehicle was used on a fishing trip. Even more joyful was that I and my wife caught two salmons on a ½ day fishing trip. I'm looking forward to using such a vehicle for all my future use – and I´m certain that will be with a few years” said Jon Bjorn after the trip.
